A serious stone wall with a growing “mockery” of English Ivy.

Walls rise with their promise of safety, clarity, and order. We build them higher, thicker, longer, deeper. I have mulled walls of late, in this year of the pandemic, peeking over and peering through them to make some sense of their enduring place in human need. We do love our walls.
